Nisan
Navigating transitions with hopeful expectation
This is a key month to understand TRANSITIONS. That’s what wilderness means, it’s a transition. God’s people were saved and led out of Egypt, through the Passover they were given access to move into a new promise, however they had to navigate transition. They were suddenly thrust into their transition, and while we know it was for their good, it was probably pretty traumatic (they didn’t even have time to let their dough rise and make one last loaf of bread for the journey (aka feast of unleavened bread).
We have the opportunity to navigate our transitions well, or to stumble through them. But know… they will eventually end. Chuck Pierce’s message Sunday is probably the most important thing for us to be able to keep moving and not be captured in a snare that could undo or prevent our shift into total victory, I highly recommend watching this (it should be free to view for at least several days) - watch here!

Monthly Overview:
General dates: March/April (30 days)
Current dates: March 19 - April 17, 2026/5786
Alphabet: HEI - pictures wind, breath, and praise
Tribe: Judah - “Judah” aka “praise” goes first!
1st month: decree God is my One true king!
Celebration: Passover! Also called “Pesach,” Passover begins on the evening of April 2nd (Wednesday) lasting through April 9th (Thursday)
Celebration: Unleavened Bread
Counting the Omer: this process begins during Passover and leads us to Pentecost. This takes us from deliverance, through a wilderness, to empowerment, and gives us a pattern for how to meet with God daily for each step forward.
In the Heavens (constellation): Aries, the ram (lamb) - celebrate the Passover lamb as heaven and earth connect
In the Garden: Our season is accelerating - what’s really caught my attention this year is that the Farmer’s Almanac has officially adjusted last frost dates for many states in the U.S. In Tennessee, mine have been bumped up by 2 weeks! This month’s garden video will show how we must find strength through joy to make it through our Transition.
This 1st month is a Firstfruits celebration of the whole year ahead.
This is also a month known for Miracles!
If you have ONE takeaway for this month, let it be this… God is with you through every transition, He is the Lamp unto your feet and the Light unto your path (Ps. 119:105). Read about this month through that lens, see how each section is a strategy for you to move through your Transition and into Victory.
Important Dates
April 1: (at sundown) “Erev Pesach” (Passover Eve)
April 2: (at sundown) Counting the Omer begins
April 2-May 21: Counting the Omer
April 1-9: “Pesach” or “Passover”
April 1-8: Unleavened Bread
Alphabet
Hei - originally pictured the wind blowing through a lattice over a window - the spirit of God needs to blow on you this month
Genesis 2:7: “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” (The letter Hei represents this outbreathing of Spirit).
Psalm 33:6 (KJV): “By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” (Associated with the sound of Hei).
Job 33:4: “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”.
Ezekiel 37:5: “This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.”.
5th letter of alphabet
Numerical Value 5: Symbolizes the 5 senses, 5 fingers, 5 levels of the soul, and 5 dimensions.
5-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12)
5 means GRACE (Ephesians 2:8-9; “God’s Empowering Presence”)
Key for your Transition: God is opening up a window for change and victory.
Tribe of Judah
You can read the blessing of Jacob in Genesis 49: 8-12
You can read the blessing of Moses in Deuteronomy 33: 7
But here’s what you should know about tribe of Judah - they moved first in battle and were known for their worship, and we have to know that we are also a warring and worshipping troop. It may seem strange to connect war and worship, but as a Christian, we do this every day. Sometimes we have to “war” to get into worship. How many distractions every day want to pull you from a place of worship? We also engage in “war” through worship, because we war not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers not of this world (Eph. 6:11-13)
This is how we dress for war: Ephesians 6:14-20 (shoes of peace, belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, helmet of salvation and sword of the spirit)
Key for your Transition: Praise (and gratitude) will keep you from the snares of fear (because trusting God for your future forces you to move beyond fear), self pity and extended grief (because you have to have a higher perspective to praise), cursing your future (because the words you proclaim are faith filled when you praise, loss of momentum (because with each praise you take another step forward), and losing hope (because when you shift your brain to gratitude repeatedly you form new pathways that are like another rung you can grab hold of as you climb out of a pit).
Calendar Position
the FIRST month (Exodus 12:2)
Jesus’ first words recorded in the bible: Jesus said to them, “Why would you need to search for me? Didn’t you know that it was necessary for me to be here in my Father’s house, consumed with him?” Luke 2:49
the first book of the bible, first verse: God vav’d the heavens and the earth: When God created the heavens and the earth… Genesis 1:1
"This is the first and great commandment," Matthew 22:37, 38, or in Mark 12:29, 30, "Hear, O Israel; the LORD our God is one LORD: thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength."
the #1 also means strength and unity
if you want to really go nuts, just look at all of the “firsts” in the Bible. First verse, first book, first commandment, Jesus’s first words, Jesus’s first miracle, etc…

Key for your Transition: during any transition, your priorities are changing as circumstances are changing around you. This moment right now is a great moment for you to examine your priorities, in this first month, as a new cycle is beginning. How are they changing? Do they align with your changing season?
Constellation
Aries is the “ram” or “lamb”
We celebrate Jesus as our Passover Lamb!
John 1:36: “And he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God!’”.
1 Peter 1:19: Describes Jesus as a “...lamb without blemish or spot”.
Revelation 5:6: References the “...Lamb standing, as though it had been slain”.
Isaiah 53:7: Prophesies the Messiah as a lamb led to the slaughter.
1 Corinthians 5:7: Identifies Christ as “...our Passover lamb”.
Key for your Transition: we have victory only BY THE BLOOD. Proclaim the blood over your own doorposts (of your heart, of your home): align with God, align with His word, align with Israel, align with His Spirit.
If you want to know what the blood really gave us access to, read Ephesians 4 with total faith. You may need this book to help you get the full revelation: Ascension Dimension by Isaac Pitre
Passover
You can read about the original Passover in Exodus 12
You can read about Jesus and His disciples celebrating Passover in Matthew 26, Mark 14, and Luke 22

In the OT...
By the blood of a lamb, Israel was redeemed
The judgment of God was turned away from the Israelites
The gods of Egypt were judged and their power broken
Israel was released from oppression and bondage
The Israelites were set free to enter God’s promise
In the NT...
Jesus and the apostles all celebrated Passover
The original Lord’s Supper was a Passover meal!
The apostles taught the Gentile churches to celebrate Passover
Jesus’s death and resurrection followed the timeline of the traditional sacrifice of the lamb
Why Satan Hates Passover… Celebrating Passover is the celebration of Jesus!
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!” (John 1:29)
“Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” (1 Cor 5:7)
All heaven joins together in a huge Passover celebration honoring Jesus at the Lamb who was slain. (Rev 4-5)
In the upcoming post I’ll share Jesus’ miraculous timeline as our Passover Lamb, how to prepare for and celebrate Passover, and some shocking history of the pagan roots behind our modern Easter celebration (don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you not to go to Easter Sunday church, but we all need to know the real history…).
We are in a Passover Era!
The hebrew letter representing “80” is PEY. Since this year in the hebrew calendar is 5786, we are in the second half of a PEY decade. “Passover” is actually a PEY word. Therefore, we are in a Passover Era. There is something God is doing in the earth realm that is different than before, and we must understand Passover as we move through this decade.
Key for your Transition: whether you were suddenly thrust into a transition or you saw it coming, you have to know there will be an end, it’s navigating this time that is the big issue. Will you navigate your transition well? Or will it cause you to veer off the path? God uses everything to our good! I don’t know how this works, but I know it’s true! Even as the Israelites experienced a miracle and were set free from bondage, they had to navigate a wilderness season before they got to their promised land. Only a few made it in. You get to choose, as Joyce Meyers always said “you can be pitiful or you can be powerful.” See how God has set you free and He will meet you at every stop throughout your wilderness, He will be faithful to get you to that promised land!
Unleavened Bread
If you’re wondering WHY we would celebrate an old tradition like this, here’s my take…
Jesus destroyed the power of sin and even overcame the grave, which was the ultimate price for sin. Through His blood alone we are saved. There’s no question about that, the Bible is very clear. Acts 2:38 (ESV): “And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”
However, there is still richness in understanding the history here and also doing cleansing prophetic acts, because while this isn’t an issue of salvation, we can fall into patterns or accumulate things (even mindsets) or need revelation to unveil something that needs to be cleared out. Just like decluttering is never a one-time fix, we must assess our lives every year for that which has snuck in that isn’t producing LIFE.
‘These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times. On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it. But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’ ” Leviticus 23:4-8
Unleavened Bread: Biblical Origin and Significance
Origin: Commanded in Exodus 12:15–20 and Leviticus 23:5–8, it is a lasting ordinance to remember God’s deliverance from Egyptian bondage.
Significance: It symbolizes the swift departure—dough did not have time to rise—and represents the “bread of affliction,” reminding believers of the hardship of slavery.
Spiritual Meaning: In both Jewish and some Christian traditions, removing leaven symbolizes removing sin, malice, and wickedness from one’s life.
I’m not suggesting that you throw away all of your bread and your sourdough starter (although I know people who have done it), but I am encouraging you to listen to the Lord for how to submit your heart and your home to Him this Passover season! All of this feels like what many of us typically call “Spring cleaning!” You could dedicate a day to turn on worship music, open the windows if the weather is nice, and do some deep cleaning or redecorating, shifting your home from winter to spring. If you want to pray over your home, cleansing it of hidden iniquities or idols, this book “Protecting Your Home From Spiritual Darkness” by Chuck Pierce is a very simple, practical guide to help you do this. If that feels overwhelming… just turn on fun music and clean your home! God can move through any act of obedience, no matter how simple. Ask Him how to cleanse your home this Passover.
Key for your Transition: when you clear out the old you have room for the new. What old items need to go? What old mindsets need to be rewired in your brain?
Counting the Omer
Counting the Omer is a 50-day (seven-week) biblical commandment and Jewish ritual, counting from the second night of Passover to Shavuot (Pentecost). This period connects the Exodus from Egypt to the receiving of the Torah at Sinai, symbolizing spiritual refinement, anticipation, and daily, intentional mindfulness.
Start Date 2026: The count begins on the second night of Passover, which is Thursday evening, April 2, 2026, after nightfall.
Period End Date 2026: The 50th day concludes on the evening of Thursday, May 21, 2026, leading into the festival of Shavuot (21st-23rd).
I have downloaded an app called “Countdown” that is free on iPhones and you can setup a widget on your lock screen to keep track.
Counting the omer is all about how to navigate the journey from the moment of deliverance to empowerment and instruction. Curt Landry talks more about this - I’ve linked his video in the Resources section below.
Key for your Transition: counting the omer creates a pattern for how to navigate your transition and avoid snares is to Pray and bring an Offering DAILY to the Lord - the Lord’s desire is to balance your emotions so you can embrace the coming changes.
In the Garden
In the torah, Nisan is referred to as “the month of the spring.” Any of us can identity with this if we just looked outside. I pray that you find some way to grab hold of hopeful expectation and joy as you watch this month’s garden video I made:
Key for your Transition: find joy for strength through the process. We cannot control times of transition, but we can embrace joy and develop our expectation in the midst of change.
(When your circumstances are tough, sometimes the only joy you can find is the higher perspective God is giving you, and the promises found in His word… Remember that pausing and worshipping can cause you to hear Him which will provide the necessary revelation for you to keep taking another step forward.)

Counting of the Omer w Curt Landry:

This is all bonus, but I wanted to share because it’s so good! These are quotes pulled from A Time To Advance by Robert Heidler and Chuck Pierce:
The hebraic month of Nisan is also called Abib/Aviv. Abib is a hebraic term for the stage of growth of grain when the seeds have reached full size. The harvest was waved before the Lord this month (Lev. 23:4-11). As you pray over your firstfruits giving and other offerings during this month, wave your gift before the Lord declaring that the fullness of your harvest is being secured and that every seed you sow will prosper in new ways…
This is also the time of spring when kings go out to war (2 Sam. 10:1)… do not hesitate to loose a sound of praise that will break you into a new dimension of victory and wholeness. Arise with faith, declare that the power of the Blood of Jesus has set you free, and know that your path of healing and miracles is now before you!…
One of the Hebrew words for spring is also the word for repentance. Spring is a wonderful picture of repentance as you are coming out of a dead winter season and positioning yourself to bring forth new life and to flourish.
