Adar
a month to LEAP with joy!
Monthly Overview:
General dates: February - March
Current dates: Sunset on February 17th - March 18th
Alphabet: KUF - 19th letter in the alphabet (faith), associated with 100 (holiness, completion)
Tribe: Naphtali “sweetness is to me”
12th month: celebrate the end of a cycle (we often don’t celebrate the end, how we’ve completed something, it sets the stage for our next cycle)
Celebration: Purim (March 3rd / Adar 14) - celebrate that your curse has been overturned (“Feast of Esther” on Adar 13)
In the Heavens (constellation): Pisces (the fishes) - finding your supply in the hidden world (spiritual world unlocks first, then natural)
In the Garden: testing the soil for hidden nutrition or deficiencies that will effect how everything grows, plant health, pest resistance, and overall fruitfulness. Seeds have also been started for the season ahead, as we progress towards last frost dates.
If you do ONE thing this month... you need to LEAP!
Last summer, when this song was first released, I was experiencing great loss and pain. The Lord, at that time, was causing me to worship more than normal (throughout each day)... I was having to choose my perspective in order to keep moving, and through worship I was able to be in God’s presence, hear His better word, and see His higher perspective. You don’t have to have perfect circumstances to be ready to LEAP this month. God is providing a way out for us, He is opening the gate to the enclosure we’ve been kept in, and like a wild deer let loose we need to run and LEAP out of our confinement and into the freedom He’s causing us to access in a miraculous way this month.
“The Hebrew month of Adar prepares you for Nisan, when Passover is celebrated, positioning you for a changed mindset and emotions from slavery to liberation. Embracing mixed emotions and surrendering them to God allows for purifying your identity—setting into motion the mercy and revelation that will come in Nisan.”
- Curt Landry
Alphabet
“The Hebrew letter Kuf, the 19th letter, symbolizes holiness, but also its opposite, the unholy or mundane. With a numerical value of 100, it represents divine completion and the ability to elevate fallen sparks of light, while its shape, descending below the baseline, represents the, ‘...descent into the lower world, but also the ability to ascend from there’. “ - Chabad.org
To my understanding, KUF is the only letter with a “leg that descends below the line,” symbolizing that there must be a descent down into something in order to draw up holiness. To me, this foreshadows Passover, which in the NT is a celebration of Jesus, whose death and resurrection follow the Passover timeline and fulfill the path and necessary descent into hell before being raised up in ultimate triumph.
KUF is the 19th letter in the Hebrew alphabet. 19 is associated with exploits of faith - in Hebrews 11 there are 19 people mentioned that had great faith.
The Hebrew letter Kuf (ק) is associated with the numerical value of 100 in Gematria. It signifies holiness, the 100 daily blessings, and represents the concept of spiritual completion or maturity.
Key biblical associations include the stanza in Psalm 119 (verses 145–152) starting with Kuf, as well as keywords like korban (sacrifice) and kadosh (holy). It signifies transformation, perseverance, and drawing near to the Divine.
This is a month to have faith! God can reposition you, He can uproot you from one place and settle you in another, He can end a cycle and begin a new one, and He is the one who creates provision for everything you need. Thank Him for the transformation you’ve been going through, that frustration hasn’t stopped you but it’s been the precursor to your next transformation! Trust His timing in your life.
Tribe
Blessing of Jacob/Israel: “Naphtali is a deer let loose; he uses beautiful words.”—Genesis 49:21 (KJV)
Blessing of Moses: ‘And of Naphtali he said: “O Naphtali, satisfied with favor, And full of the blessing of the Lord , Possess the west and the south.”’ Deuteronomy 33:23
The tribe was allotted a fertile, mountainous region in northern Canaan, spanning from the Sea of Galilee to the Lebanon border.
The region of Naphtali later became Galilee, where Jesus began his ministry (Matthew 4:13-16), fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy that the “land of Naphtali” would see a great light.
“A Doe Set Free”: Jacob blessed Naphtali as a “doe set free that bears beautiful fawns” (Genesis 49:21), interpreted as a symbol of independent spirit, freedom, and beauty.
They were renowned soldiers. Barak, who led the army against Sisera (Judges 4), was from Naphtali. The tribe is praised in the Song of Deborah for risking their lives in battle (Judges 5:18).
They were part of the camp of Dan, which included the tribes of Dan, Asher, and Naphtali, and they were located specifically to the north of the Tabernacle.
Positioned on the north, they were responsible for protecting that flank.
When the Israelites moved, the camp of Dan—including Naphtali—was the final group to march, acting as the rear guard.
In the camp, this northern, trailing position is seen as a role of protection, serving as the rearguard for the entire nation.
In Ezekiel’s later prophetic vision of the land and Temple, Naphtali is assigned a specific area, and a gate of the city “Jehovah Himself Is There” was named after them.
The Lord can form a rear guard over our past season when we submit our cycle to Him. Celebrate His provision for you to complete the cycle, and praise Him in advance for your next cycle. Like Naphtali, you can LEAP forward this month with expectation to see fruitfulness. Like a deer that has been captured and suddenly set free, you need to jump and shout, “I will leap this month!”
Chuck Pierce has been saying repeatedly that God has set this to be a time for us to BREAK IN, BREAK THROUGH AND BREAKOUT. Say that... “I will break IN, break THROUGH, and break OUT!”
Calendar Position
Adar is the 12th month.
12 = “perfect government”
12 shows that God is in control and He is king
This month has an ending and a beginning, being the 12th month that wraps up a year and births us into a new year.
This month reminds us that we are in God’s cycle and the only way we can get into our next place is through His blood. Give your journey to God and He will bring you to fullness and completion. No matter what is going on in your life, you can trust that He is in control and He is King!
Moses
Moses was both born and died in this month. There’s a fullness and completion in that.
Moses’ mother had to have a complete faith shift in order to throw him in the river. You’ve got to trust that God can make the wind blow, the river flow, and your basket end up at the right place. Some places haven’t been able to multiply because you haven’t let go of them...
Moses went through his own process as well, and when he was 80 years old the Lord went and found him and said “I need you for NOW.”
This is a time to “let go and let God,” which means you don’t give up, you surrender in faith that He is working on your behalf, and you shift your focus from worrying to worshipping Him because He’s got it all and He’s working it out.
Constellation: Pisces
Pisces is the 12th and final zodiac sign, symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions…
Fish in the bible:
Matthew 4:19 (ESV): “And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men’”. (Jesus calls his disciples, who were fishermen).
Luke 9:16 (ESV): “And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed them and broke them and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd”.
Matthew 17:27 (ESV): “...go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel”.
These verses highlight fish as both a source of physical sustenance and a symbol for spiritual work and ministry.
God wants you to know that He is your provider, and this is the month to expect provision from the hidden world. God pours out in spirit and solidifies in heaven what is eventually released into the earth (Matthew 6:10).
I am having to trust that provision for my future will come from Him in the right time, and that He has a strategy for this that is beyond what I can perceive, yet I can rejoice with great faith that He is indeed working things out and securing things in the supernatural realm, so that they can be expressed here in the natural. We have a supernatural part to us, as well as natural. So we have to look at both parts this month, our supernatural and natural identities.
Purim
“When Adar enters, joy increases,” the Talmud says. This reaches its climax on the 14th of the month, as we celebrate Mordechai and Esther’s triumph over the wicked Haman.
The spirit of Purim permeates the entire month, making it a time of unparalleled rejoicing. Purim celebrates a curse being overturned and the door to your destiny being opened! This is a great month to read the book of Esther!
“For such a time as this” / God has a very special plan for your life, and like Moses there comes a time when God is doing things in your life because He needs you NOW. These scriptures will remind you of the reality of who you truly are, no matter what the enemy has told you based on the experiences you’ve had in life so far.
Psalm 139:16 - You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.
Jeremiah 1:5 - Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew you intimately. I had divine plans for you before I gave you life, and I set you apart and chose you to be mine. You are my prophetic gift to the nations.
Jeremiah 29:11 - Here’s what Yahweh says to you: “I know all about the marvelous destiny I have in store for you, a future planned out in detail. My intention is not to harm you but to surround you with peace and prosperity and to give you a beautiful future, glistening with hope.
Romans 8:28 - So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.
Ephesians 1:4, 11 - And in love he chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence... Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as his own inheritance. Before we were even born, he gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in his heart.
Ephesians 2:10 - We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!
If you have believed a lie about who you are, you can repent! Reject what Satan has said, go to God’s word and begin to receive who He says you are. When you repent, you break agreement with something. Choose to believe what God has said and move forward in faith to fulfill your destiny!
This is a month with a special anointing for overturning wrong decrees. Haman is going to hang on his own gallows! And this is also a month where you receive the ability to fight and achieve victory. The king was unable to un-do his original edict that the enemies of the jews could annihilate them on the named day, however another edict went out that allowed them to defend themselves. The Lord, through this, brought them total victory and salvation... they still had to fight but they were victorious! The Lord has already given you what you need - do not fear whatever is coming against you.
In the Garden
The Lord ordered my steps so that the day before Adar began I ripped up a ton of ivy that has been growing in my backyard garden for 5 years. I planted this and have loved watching it grow from a few original plants to an entire “hedgerow,” yet I knew the Lord was telling me that for my goals for that space this year it would need to be ripped up. The roots went very deep, and they exposed portions of the foundation of my garage that I’ve never seen. I began soil testing different areas of that garden while I was out there, to determine what is needed for the best growth in my future season. I know that now this area has been properly prepared for what is to come, it is ready for spring and new growth!
Some plants have already gone out into the garden. They were started indoors many weeks ago, and they love cool weather. You just have to know your season.
Bonus
Robert Heidler gave a list of 5 things this month is about:
Adar should be a month of laughter
A month to root out depression
A month to develop a war strategy (remove worry, see your supply)
A month to break wrong decrees
A month to discover your true identity
Also... I’ll be honest. I don’t fully understand how he has connected bitterness to this month other than that the Spirit of God is saying it right now, but Chuck Pierce keeps saying “this is the month to end a cycle of hidden bitterness and begin a new cycle.” So pray and ask God to reveal to you any hidden root of bitterness so that you can be healed and fully enter the joy of the next season.

The Lord just led me back to the prophetic word from GZI during ADAR 5784/2024, I believe it’s a word for you for today:
QUIT LIMITING YOU TO YOU. LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. EXPECT GOD! TAKE YOUR LIMITS OFF! PUT YOUR HAND ON THE LEFT SIDE OF YOUR BRAIN AND DECREE THAT “WHATEVER IS RESTRICTING MY NEW ORDER WILL BE BROKEN.” OUR KNOWLEDGE AND THINKING SO LIMITS GOD. THAT IS WHAT HUMANISM REALLY IS. IT IS TAKING MAN’S KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO THINK AND SAYING “THIS IS GOD.” OUR LIMITATIONS ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EXPECTATIONS. THEREFORE, IF THE ENEMY CAN WIPE OUT OUR EXPECTATIONS HE CAN CREATE NEW LIMITATIONS. IT IS TIME TO TAKE THE LIMITS OFF. WE CAN TALK ABOUT MIRACLES ALL DAY LONG BUT UNTIL WE TAKE LIMITS OFF, WE CANNOT GET THERE. WE HAVE TO REMOVE LIMITS THAT ARE HELD IN PLACE BY OUR OWN KNOWLEDGE.
So there it is, leap out of your confinement this month. God is saying it. You can do it. By faith. With joy.
Be richly blessed!
